Pakistan hockey team beats India in Qualifier match

Pakistan’s hockey team defeated arch-nemesis India 5-4 in a thrilling match at the Asian Hockey 5s World Cup Qualifier in Salalah, Oman. The victory showed that Pakistan continued to perform well in the tournament.


Pakistan are currently leading the table with nine points after three consecutive victories and an impressive 46 goals.
Arshad Liaquat contributed to the team’s success with two goals, while Abdul Rehman, Zakriya Hayat and Rana Abdul Waheed scored one.


The president of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) is happy by the performances of players so he decided that “Each team member will be rewarded with a cash prize of $100 in recognition of their outstanding performance”. In the last match against Bangladesh, Pakistan showed their dominance with a stunning 15-6 victory. Rana Abdul Waheed consolidated his position with four goals, while Arshad Liaquat and Abdullah scored three each.
Now the next battle Pakistan’s hockey team to face ,is with “Oman and Malaysia” in upcoming matches of the tournament.
