Bajaur Explosion: Police Make Progress in Bajaur Attack Investigation,54 deaths

The number of those killed in the incident has increased to 54, according to the police, who claimed to have made progress in their investigation into the fatal suicide blast at the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) workers’ convention in Bajaur.
On Sunday evening, a suicide bomber detonated his own explosives at the JUI-F gathering, causing a terrible explosion to shake the Khar neighborhood in the Bajaur district peshawar, a former tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
At least 40 people were murdered instantly, and more than 100 others were hurt in the explosion, which the authorities have identified as a suicide attack.

According to the police, the early investigation indicated that the terrorist group Daesh was responsible for the Bajaur suicide attack.

83 injured victims are currently receiving medical care at various hospitals, according to the Counter-Terrorism Department’s (CTD) Additional Shokat Abbas, the inspector general, said.

The convention started at 2pm, and the explosion happened at 4:10pm, according to the person providing the inquiry update. He verified that the explosion used between 10 and 12 kg of explosives.

He said that materials involved in the production of the explosives, such as ball bearings, had been discovered at the explosion site.

He assured the fatal suicide bombing was denounced by the United States and Saudi Arabia, while Russia sent its condolences to the impacted families.
