Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has ruled out any conflict with fellow drummer Mohammad Rizwan, saying they share a brotherly bond and the ‘hate’ on social media is just about people.
Fans often compare the 2017 Champions Cup-winning captain and goalie hitters based on their performances, leading to heated debates on social media.
However, Sarfaraz denied any comparisons between him and Rizwan.
“The current Pakistan team unites very well. All the players have brotherhood and there is no animosity between us,” he said. “There is no hate between me and Rizwan. The hate is just between people on social media. These people have nothing to do with their lives, so they go on social media and start writing things. unnecessary,” added the ball-keeper.
Sarfaraz and Rizwan are currently the top two goalkeepers of the Pakistan team. Rizwan is the first choice, while Sarfaraz is the backup. However, Sarfaraz played as the first-choice hitter in the Trials series that just ended in Sri Lanka. Earlier this year, Sarfaraz returned to the Cricket Test and scored a hundred wins for Pakistan against New Zealand in the second Test in Karachi.
Asking about Compare Babar–Virat:
Sarfaraz believes that there is no comparison between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam.
“Leave Babar Azam. There is no comparison between him and Virat. Virat has been playing cricket for 14-15 years. Babar made his debut in 2015. Let’s wait and see Babar until he plays cricket as much as Virat; it will be held in the same stadium,” Sarfaraz insisted.
“No one plays cover drive and on drive better than Babar. Just let him play and enjoy,” he concluded.
