UI GreenMetric assess universities and their campuses on various factors like infrastructure, transportation system, education and research systems, water and waste management, contribution to climate change and energy solutions. When they assessed Universities from all over the world on these factor as per set criteria, there were at least 20 Pakistani Universities among top 500 Universities including Pir Meher Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University which was top of the list in Pakistani Universites.
