The scenic snow-capped mountains of Skardu froze in the snowfall and blowing cold winds welcomed the colorful event of the Ice Hockey Championship 2023 in Skardu to promote and plan winter sports tourism in the country. An official from Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) told that the championship attended by a large number of locals, tourists and adventure seekers.“The championship is an annual event of the Skardu Winter Festival and many teams participate to entertain people through this healthy game. We also set up a stall to sell,” he added.The winter festival welcomes local and international tourists each year to come to Gilgit-Baltistan to enjoy the championships and other activities during the festival, he added.

Pakistani young Stunners to perform at Wireless Music festival in Abu Dhabi for the first time

The cost of chicken is likely to continue to increase in the coming days.The warning from the Pakistan Poultry Association follows a statement by Federal Food Security Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema said “he would not eat chicken raised on “muzr-e-sehat” feed. No, Pakistan has announced that it will only import inclusion-free oilseeds ‘GMO’ from now on”.In this era of economic crisis and inflation, the price of chicken in Pakistan, like other food items, had already risen sharply, but in the past two weeks, the price of chicken has increased from 1.5 times to 200 rupees per kilo.Though there is a slight difference in the prices of every place and every city because the price of chicken varies by one rupee after every 15 to 20 rupees. A businessman linked to the poultry sector says “the biggest crisis right now is not the chicken, but its feed, and the supply of chicken in the market is declining”. Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema said “GMO soybeans were not included in poultry feed before 2015.The poultry mafia imposed a tax on local soybeans, making imported soybeans cheaper and local soybeans more expensive.”According to him, “the purchase of GMOs is not allowed by regulation” and Pakistan has also signed an international agreement on the matter.According to the federal minister, poultry producers have started buying domestic feed since his statement.According to the owner of poultry farm,” Pakistan itself could produce this feed if the government did better research, but it would require resources”.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that it had held talks to appoint South Africa’s “Mickey Arthur” as the men’s team head coach, but added that the search would continue for the time being.Arthur is currently an English cricket coach in Derbyshire. Former PCB chairman Najam Sethi believed “foreign coaches are better suited for the national team than local coaches. They are Skilled and not tied to any particular player. In our culture, our coaches have soft hearts for a selective players,” Sethi said.“It does not mean that the services of the star cricketers will not be recruited, we will utilize their expertise in other ways,” Sethi added.During his previous tenure, he hired ‘Arthur’ as head coach, Team was on number one in Tests and one-day cricket, and won the Champions Trophy [in 2017].”

The Sindh government approved the procurement of 300,000 tonnes of wheat from PASSCO (Pakistan Agricultural Storage & Services Corporation) in order to meet the province‘s wheat requirement until the harvest of the new crop in early March. The Chief Minister directed the food department to make the necessary arrangements for the procurement, which was to begin in early February so that the set target could be achieved. The minimum price of sugar cane was fixed at Rs302 per 40kg, in line with the federal government‘s approval of a quality premium rate of Rs0.50 (50 paisa) per 40kg in 1989–99.

The Sindh Police has requested the Sindh Government for an Rs2.79 Billion allocation in order to purchase military-grade weapons and ammunition from Pakistan Ordnance Factories, Wah. These include sophisticated sniper rifles with night vision capability, thermal binoculars, advanced surveillance drones, night-vision cameras, grenade launchers, night and thermal vision capability drone cameras, 82mm and 60mm mortar guns, G3 rifles, and automatic grenade launchers. A top-level committee of Sindh Police officers has been formed on the orders of the Inspector General of Sindh Police to approve the purchase of these weapons and to seek permission for restricted and prohibited military-grade weapons. This decision has been made in response to the martyrdom of five policemen, including a DSP and SHO, by dacoits in the riverine (Kacha) area of Ghotki, Kashmore, and Shikarpur districts in November last year.

Eyes are exposed to bright, fluorescent images and cognizance to blaring sounds. Children’s minds are still conforming and learning to sort through a motley of clutter and stimulation.Television content similar as “Cocomelon” frequently makes for hyperactivekids. Moreover,we tend to forget about setting time limits as it’s tempting to use defenses to calm babies. Screen time is big as kids do not wanna stop watching. So if you can minimize screen time,it’s good but do not suppose that it can be used as literacy tools.
