Federal Govt to take initiative against Data leakage by Dark Web

The dark web or darknet is a part of the internet that lies beyond the reach of search machines. Users are largely anonymous and untraceable and substantially pay with cryptocurrencies like bitcoin.
The advisory named” Leakage of Sensitive Data” on Dark Web, noted that the obscurity offered by the dark web makes it a “ easy for the world of crime ” and constitutes 96 per cent of total data available on the internet.
“ Dark/ deep web is being used by filthy mindsets, including culprits, terrorists, Hostile Intelligence Agencies( HIAs) and non-famous actors, ” it stated.
The premonitory lists some of the crimes carried out on the dark web, including

1.Hacking
2.Blackmailing
3.Website vilification
4.Data dumps
5.penetrating particular information of citizens and crucial movables via blurted databases
6.Financial scams by using banking details
7.Honey pots to trap civilians and government officers
8.Terror backing and money laundering
9.Disseminating propaganda
10.Recruiting terrorists
11.Cross-border collaboration and terrorist support
12.medicine, human and terror weapons dealing
13.Bounty stalking and rescue attacks

Users are advised to secure particular and confidential data from being exposed to cybercriminals and further leakage on playing forums dark web, ” the advisory stated.

It has made a list of guidelines for data safety. These are following:

1.Stay away from exploring dark web sources
2.Remain watchful while surfing the web
3.Do not forward or click a link or dispatch your WhatsApp/picture by unknown sources.
4.Apply two- factor authentication on all dispatch, social media and banking accounts.
5.Don’t share password with anyone.
6.Don’t install untrusted software or operations( without digital hand) from third- party sources on Windows and Android/ i0S phone.
7.Don’t install useless plugins on cybersurfers except Adblock and Adblock plus.
8.Always install and regularly update reputed antimalware/anti-virus result on both Windows/ Android phones.
9.Do not share parsonal information on phone calls.
10.Calls from unknown figures mustn’t be trusted and reported to PTA if seem suspicious.
11.To findout any fraud phone calls, always ask applicable questions from the caller and precisely judge him her to sure authenticity.
The civil government has transferred a cybersecurity advisory to ministries and provincial governments to safe data leaks through the dark web.
