Ali Mohammad’s lawyer, Shehariyar Khatak said the PTI leader had left for the village of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hathian. His lawyer said the former MNA was arrested eight times and held for 80 days.
Ali Mohammad was arrested for the first time by the secretariat police in connection with the violence that took place on May 9,2023.
“Although he was released on bail, he has been arrested seven times on multiple charges by Mardan’s anti-corruption agency,” said Khatak.
The lawyer said the Peshawar trial court on Wednesday granted bail of 200,000 rupees to his client in a corruption case. However, shortly after the court granted his release, Ali Mohammad was again arrested for a week under 3-MPO (Maintaining Public Order) by order of Deputy Chief of Staff Mardan. “He was finally released today by order of the Peshawar High Court,” added Katak.
