The “missing “of PTI’s Key Member Iftikhar Durrani

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said in the early hours of Thursday that center leader Iftikhar Durrani had been missing for some time.
PTI, in a statement said” its core member had been “kidnapped” in Islamabad and was “collecting details of his abduction”.
Hours later, there is still no confirmation of the fate of Durrani, who was a special communications assistant to former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
PTI members and leaders have faced arrests, re-arrests and other problems since the May 9 riots, when public and military facilities were attacked by terrorists. Protesters are angry at Imran Khan’s arrest.
Authorities have registered several lawsuits against senior leaders alleging their participation in and incitement against military leaders. After the chaos of May 9, several big names – including Parvez Khattak, Fawad Chaudhry and Shireen Mazari – left PTI and even politics.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently said “May 9 was aimed at overthrowing the military rulers, while the head of PTI was the mastermind. Those involved in the May 9 incident want to overthrow the military leadership”.

Reacting to the “kidnapping” of Durrani, PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari strongly condemned.
“You are kidnapped in the middle of the night with no case to you and your family being harassed. This has only happened to one party in present-day Pakistan”, he wrote.
