Militants attacked the Burgi police headquarters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat early Sunday morning.four policemen are dead and several injured as per police officials.
“At hour, militants attacked the police headquarters and tried to enter the building,” Lakki Police proponent Shahid Hameed told media,adding that over sixty policemen were on duty at that point.
He said that the policemen engaged the militants for pretty much forty five minutes after that,the attackers took advantage of the darkness and successfully escaped.
Hameed realized that the police headquarters is located in a very far-flung space and takes virtually one-and-a-half hours to succeed in from Lakki town.
While no cluster has taken responsibility for the attack, the police suspect the prohibited Tehreek-i-Taliban Asian nation (TTP) because the cluster is understood to control within the space.
Funerals for the slain policemen were control at the Lakki police line on Sunday morning, that were attended by Regional officer Bannu Syed Ashfaq Anwar, District officer Ziauddin and senior military and civil officers.
Paying tribute to the “supreme sacrifices” of the personnel, PM Shehbaz said “terrorists were the open enemies” of the state. “Those WHO are shielding the state against terrorists are our heroes”.
The prime minister continued saying that the elimination of terrorists, their supporters, and facilitators is the “national priority”.
He additionally urged the KP government to supply a compensation package to the families of martyred police personnel.
