Pakistan High Commission issued visas to 96 Hindus from India who wanted to visit Katas Raj Temples in Chakwal District. Katas Raj Temples are one of the sacred places for Hindus and it is considered one of the biggest temple complexes. Hindus believe that the pond in Katas Raj was formed when their god Shive cried and his tear gathered and became a pond.
It would be the first time in decades that Indian Hindus are allowed to visit Katas Raj. Most of the temples are not operational now. But there’s just one where still pooja is performed daily.
